Press Release 2 May
2002
Relays Dreams to become Super
Relay brightens the cross-training calendar for 2002 with the brand
new team cross training event SuperTeams.
Since 1998 Relay has provided all fitness enthusiasts a finale to their
competition calendar with the biggest team fitness event of the year,
The Dream Team. The event was enjoyed and participated by
men and women across the country who wanted to top their year by winning
the Dream Team title.
Relays Dreams have now been put to bed, but they set to reappear
fresh, invigorated and with a new lease of life in June with the launch
of SuperTeams. SuperTeams will be the all new, re-shaped cross training
team event to fill the gap where Dream Team left off; The ultimate test
for teams wishing to test their strength, stamina and sheer determination
and will definitely reach the goal of being the biggest and best team
fitness event in the UK.
Super Teams has been designed to have a broader appeal and be more
inviting to teams to enter; the 3 man band (or women) will be confronted
with a one off course, where by they will combat equipment, disciplines,
distances together, ultimately in the fastest time. The course will
accommodate the all-round fitness enthusiast, but the best teams fighting
for the SuperTeams title will have their paces tested for certain.
A long summer is in store for all those competitors, with the SuperTeams
heats provisionally in September. With no X-Zone and Ultrafit the question
will be who are the Super men and women of 2002? Will teams bring the
right mix to aim further than dreams and become the SuperTeams Champions?
