A well-attended event and a fast and fun course. Lee Rankin, Phil McConnell,
Will & Ceri Whitmore cycled to the event from Stroud (40 miles)
- and back again after the comp. They still managed to turn in fast
times, with Lee winning by a clear margin. Lee was so fast that he nearly
caught Phil (second overall) on the runner, but this was probably a
combination of the starting gap between the two being shorter than for
other competitiors and Phil tantalising Lee by slowing down at the very
end of his run. Lisa Cox stormed through the course to with a winning
time more than three and a half minuted ahead of the seonc placed women,
Helen Barnett. It was also good to see Hywel
Davies, who came to watch and encourage.
A great day - thanks to Stuart Leng for organizing and running this
event.
